In regards to most of the reviews, I read them all before my husband and I stopped for a late breakfast.   It's diner food, it was good.  Service: our waiter was kind, he brought us warm at best coffee in which my husband told him it was cold and asked for a fresh pot.  He brought us a fresh steaming hot pot of coffee right away.  In my opinion that's good service, he was attentive and helpful.   Clean/good food/good service just like you'd expect in a truck stop diner.

I'm giving 4 stars not because it's the best ever, but because it's what you'd expect. It's a truck stop diner. All the food is pretty average truck stop diner food. The only thing that's not so great are the mini tacos appetizer. They have a pretty decent burger and fries and their pies are always alright. If they have Dutch apple pie, that one is a must get! It's a nice little place to have in the area since there isn't much else. I'd be sad honestly if it wasn't there!

I don't think I've ever had service as terrible as the food before. Service was nonexistent and useless, absolutely nothing was cooked properly to specifications, no management on staff, cook tried to make excuses for terrible food. We had to stand there and wait for someone to get authorization to void like someone was going to potentially force us to pay anything for the utterly atrocious experience we had. If I could submit this review with 0 stars I would. I will never return to this establishment. Highly recommending against going there to dine. Aside from all that I got harassing and offensive replies from both regular customers and staff after reviewing on Facebook.

They have wifi!! Not a bad little truck stop, stay away from the appetizers, they are the generic brand garbage with a high sticker price. We sat at the diner bar and both had bacon cheeseburgers. You get quite a bit of bacon for what you pay, which was a little shocking. You can have nice conversations with the staff and the stools were comfy. The food was extremely average diner food, but it was a little heartwarming. Just the right portion size.

There aren't too many other dining options nearby, so I'd recommend the place if you're hungry because the place is warm and welcoming and the food is ok. Otherwise wait until you get to Wausau.

Avg food and warm service gets this establishment a 3 out 5.

They serve Pepsi products and not coca cola products which disappointed my friend, but I really do not care about soft drink choices!

While driving from northern Wisconsin back to Minneapolis after Christmas, we stopped here for lunch. It's a truckstop restaurant that has a game room (as in, gambling machines), a trucker's lounge back by the restrooms, and a convenience store that's part of the gas station. The convenience store sells Gunsmith paperbacks ("The All-Action Western Series"), but this is a review of the restaurant.

    C. got the fish fry and wasn't too impressed. It was a Friday, so Wisconsin was all about the fish fry, but her two pieces were just that: pieces of fish, fried. She tried both kinds of potato salad, the regular and the German, which is served warm and is quite sweet. Didn't like the German.

    J. and I got cheeseburgers and fries, and they were just fine. The coffee was hot, the bathrooms clean, and the clientele interesting, so it was a great place to stop off for lunch. Make a note.
